Poetry Week: MLK Day, Valentine's Day, love, sadness, Teens, Religion, Animals
Perhaps some thought that waiting TOO MUCH
Perhaps some thought I had expected much
And a dream that never would come true,
Reasoning from what they saw and such
Trends in what could confirm their point of view.
In dreams, however, you believe what it is --
Not what one sees, but what you want:
, Like light, the dream of the Lord appeared, now everyone, as Your
Eternal Word fills the endless void.
Then, look! Look! What miracles happen!
Here we have a black man to court --
Just as I dreamed - his character,
Regardless of your skin! And won!
Know, then, that sleep I have fought for
Over time it became the ground of what I wanted.
New realities call dreams
Given to us not as ends but means.
You are my heart, my hope, my help
You are my heart, my hope, my help,
The passion that I,
The all of which I am part,
My peace, my ecstasy.
You are my future, present, past,
My ship, my sail, my ocean,
The wind Which brings me back home,
The home for every motion.
You live within me, yet I am
Without your own.
In you I am filled with light;
Not that I'm made of stone.
Is this silly? Yes, perhaps,
It is also true.
I think of life as something that
You can pass with only you.
Ah, my love! Love longs for such
Sweet celebrants as this!
Love is a burden and a joy,
Slavery and bliss.
This day of love come love me,
Come sing with my song.
Come be my Valentine, and I
Does love my long life, my love,
Will love you my long life.
I never thought I would fall IN LOVE WITH YOU
I never thought I'd fall in love with you.
I thought some day, Of course, I love.
But what it feels like I never knew;
I had no idea what I was thinking.
And then, somewhere between my need and pleasure,
Hiking neither joy nor sadness,
I looked at my heart and saw a treasure
Worth more than anything we ever had.
Ah! This is love! I thought. And then I wanted
To give my life to see her happiness.
Suddenly, from nowhere, I was thrilled,
Needy, joy, tears, joy, obsessed.
My love for you has brought me from me.
The beauty in your heart has set me free.
I WANT YOU BACK NOW That You're Gone
I want you back, now that your gone.
My heart is a well without love can fill.
Stumbling through my days of stone
Lacking joy, devoid of will.
I could not tell myself I loved
You, as I did for fear of pain.
Far easier not to move,
Who moved to love and the pain again.
Nonsense! Loved it anyway
And now it's my fault.
Please Rescue Me, the torture room,
And I will atone for my sin.
FIE ON THESE Earthlings
Ugh, these earthlings who believe equality
This is what same! Illogical. I
Fifteen, will never be your dreams,
Although I paint nightmares.
Eat a whole Stackpack and die! Even
ET think twice at home!
No! I am the same - but not all the same!
MARGARITA
Margarita is an angel
Awakening as life away,
Crest of the wave in the light of Lent.
Grace abounds both day and night,
Alive in those who know their needs,
Restoration of joy those who shudder.
In death wears the mantle of angel
Touching love that weeps and bleeds,
Because in life he found delight.
REMY
Remy loves to let me know which is tomorrow.
Each dawn, fists on the cheek until I wake up.
Mid dreams I fall up for her
However, finding her curled up not long after yawning.
